thank you!!! i have already changed out the soil but i have also added a moist hide as well as a larger water dish. currently i have not seen any new spots!!!!
I recently noticed some black spots on my Texas red-headed centipede I'm wondering if they can be a problem?

the millipedes in the picture are about half the size of what they do get. Currently me and a friend are working on getting a breeding project started up see if we can bring them into the hobby.
its a odd find for me. i found these ones in Gholson tx at a friends house but I've also found them at lake Whitney at solders bluff park. they seem to like oak leaf litter.
i found what i believe is an albino millipede in my friends yard today. at first i thought it was a fresh molt but when i picked it up i realized i was wrong. I'm not sure what species it is but it was caught out of Gholson TX. I thought it would be cool to share.
in not sure where you live but I live just outside of Waco TX. I find hundreds of those under boards in my back yard ( or at least they look similar)!!! i all ways catch them eating small worms, crickets, and lots of termites!!! SO MANY TERMITES!!!! I most commonly find them where the termites...
i noticed that after your post I've already replaced the substrate with some much dryer ecoearth (coconut husk). i probably need to find soothing else but for now its what I had on hand! i also took the opportunity to give him deeper substrate!
i turned off the heating pad and replaced his water dish!! I never would have thought of feeding fruits to a centipede. i almost feed him a small snake last week but he was still in his cave (i presume that's when he molted).
