    Enclosure Labels - Need Ideas

I use sticker paper. I know they sell removable sticker paper but I haven't had any trouble with regular. I wash my enclosures every time I rehouse so I just use a bit of goo gone and Iso and the labels come right off. Sheets are cheap and since I had a printer and paper cutter before I was able...

This hobby has changed how I see the world

Containers used to be just that.. Containers You put stuff in them, use them for storage, you can keep all sorts of things in any variety of containers, but now I only have eyes for one thing. Everything I see is looked at as a potential home. I get excited whenever I see any nice clear...

    Ventilation question?

OK, i just went down about a 2hr rabbit hole trying to figure this one out. I'm not sure if the microbiome plays all that critical of a role here, especially trying to avoid anaerobic bacteria. If that was true people would poke holes in their substrate. I was trying to find bacteria that is...

    Ventilation question?

Do I need more holes? These are MisterPlexi PB3s 4"x 4"x 8" with 52 3mm holes (26 each side for cross vent). I like to keep the front of my enclosures free of holes to serve as a display side, but I could do another 3 rows in the back. I plan on keeping different arboreal juveniles in these...

Review by 'J0urney' on item 'Inland Sea Exotics'

I purchased 9 slings and was given about a 15 % discount. Shipping was delayed 4 days and thanks to the wonderful packaging they were able to survive not only the heat but the 6 trips between my city and the capital. Seller included a free cool pack for no extra charge. Messaged back extremely...

Would you use P. murinus as a "safe" to protect valuables, given their reputation?

No, I would be afraid someone would hurt my friend. Anything I would have I would rather get found than someone cause death to my spider. Plus my friends know I have a guest room in case they have a few more drinks and I welcome them to stay

10 gal vertical enclosure conversion kit

Lean is a brand name for plexi, If you use it make sure you have latches on both corners. I would recommend a hinge that spans the length of the whole front door because warping can put a lot of pressure on the hinges. It is important that you do this right and add 2 hinges- don't end up like...

New Selenotypus SP. Wallace (First time sling owner. )

I've heard it in several places on this form that cockroaches have "soft" mouth parts and are unable to cause damage to spiders, made sense to me since I don't really see cannibalism in roaches. Thank you for letting me know this is not true. Could it still be said that roaches are a safer feeder?

I would continue to kill the crickets. especially since shes only 2i. Some slings eat live but even in the wild most scavenge at that size, so youre replicating nature. If youre in a hurry to feed live maybe try every 4th or 5th criket, but I would still wait a while even for that. I have not...

    Surplus crickets...

Easiest thing to do is to get another T that's about the right size to take care of any extras.

    Alligator Forceps

No not dressing forceps, alagator forceps- they act more like pliers but only bend at ththe very end.

    Alligator Forceps

Has anyone used alagator forceps for their T's? I have a pair of 5 inch ones that I use for grabbing parts when I drop them but I realized they sell much longer ones! (14 inches) I wonder if they would be better than long tongs for keeping distance because they have a bit more control, just...

    A. avic wont let go of tongs during feeding

Thank you, thats a realy good analogy. As I said im not going to tong feed anyone except for my male but he could die at any second. Its been a while since he molted into a male and he doesn't have much longer left.

    Dangers of tong feeding

Thats a good point, I didnt even consider that. I wish there was a more objective way to figure out how common this is but ohh well. I may try and do something strange with some silicone casting matterial I have but unless I do my tong feeding is over

    Dangers of tong feeding

@viper69 thank you for finding those for me. I still wonder why these stories havent been told in any threads about tong feeding but ohh well. Now I know too look for broken fangs specifically rather than just general injuries.
