Geniculata week after molt is not hungry?

So, after a month of premolt, my Acanthoscurria geniculata molted. It's a male, to my slight dissapointment. It's just been a week after the molt, and I figured the exoskeleton has hardened enough, so I tossed a superworm in. I crushed the head so it doesn't burrow, and I plopped it in front of...

What's the formula for enclosure size (H. spinifer)?

Hey all, I've been into the tarantula hobby for a bit now, and I want to expand to scorpions. My local breeder has H. spinifer avaliable, and I plan to get one or a few. With T's, the enclosure formula is 3x legspan for terrestrials at least, is it roughly the same or different with scorpions?

What enclosures are suitable for a subadult/adult Aphonopelma Chalcodes?

Hey all, I just saw that a tarantula breeder which I've ordered from before is having a sale on A. Chalcodes subadults/adults. I have a bit of tarantula money left and I've decided to purchase a specimen, as they are one of the species on my wishlist. However, to go by the 3x legspan rule, I...

Genic not being a murder machine

:/ My local pet store only has superworms, mealworms, and crix. I hate crickets, because I've had some bad experiences with them in the past. And mealworms are way too small for this absolute unit. Guess I'll be waiting

Genic not being a murder machine

I currently have a juvenile Acanthoscurria geniculata, roughly 3" in length. It was eating well up until I transferred it to an enclosure more suited for its size, as the former was getting a tad cramped for it. It's been a week and what happens when I offer a superworm is weird. My T moves...

    Grammostola pulchra sling- what do?

When my lil guy was smaller, I kept him in a condiment cup. I moistened a corner, and he stayed at the opposite position of that. I then moved the damp corner around a couple times because I forgot which corner I dampen. He would always stay away from the water. So now I just keep it dry with...

    Grammostola pulchra sling- what do?

Currently, I have a collection of 5 t's. An Acanthoscurria geniculata juvie, which is doing well, a Grammostola pulchra sling, which is doing unknown, a Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens sling, which is doing well, and two Brachypelma albopilosum slings which are doing okay. The Grammostola pulchra...

Who is not scared of tarantulas but house spiders freak them right out ?

Yeah, I've got the same thing. House spiders spook me good, but tarantulas are a-ok.
