    Cork Bark: Tube vs Flats

Place the open side of the tube against the tank wall, and you may still be able to see them, depending on how heavily they web the inside. If you are talking about a complete tube, you're s.o.l. My irminia is the only one of my arboreals big enough for cork yet, and she has a flat piece...

    My Chilli Rose Balance

Hi Kaytee, first a couple questions for you. How long have you had her? Has she ever molted for you? It's possible that she is pre-molt, and what you take for clumsy attempts at catching her crix, are actually attempts on her part to make them go away and quit bothering her. It's...

    Man these guys are fast....

And never let anyone tell you that arboreals can't climb the side of a tub. My cambridgei gave us a nice workout when we re-housed her a while back!!

    GBB molting , i think

If mine molt out in the open, I'll remove it in a day or two. If they do it in their burrow, I have to wait until they clean house, which can be a while. PS; skeleton thingy = exuvium. ;)

    WOW-Anybody else had this happen?

I had one L para 1st Instar (out of 8) who did this. Mine did not survive, and I chalked it up as a failure to thrive. Why?? Don't know, but it never did get beyond 1st. Came out of the sac in January, and died in July. The other 7 are thriving just fine!!

Spiders confiscated due to city ordinance

Talked to the Souix City Animal Control about 20 minutes ago. Lady said there is a reptile group out of Des Moines, IA who are going to take all 15 of the tarantulas. When I told her I was with the NE Tarantula Enthusiest's Club (N-TEC), she sounded kind of disappointed they weren't coming to...

I also would, being just down the road near Omaha, NE. There are plenty of us in this area, we could all share.

I got told HE was a SHE...

I read threads like this one and I realize how lucky I am to have three (yep, count 'em...THREE) breeders in my immediate area. I can see what I am purchasing beforehand! Plus, they are all members of the same group that I am, so I know them on a personal basis too. I can't imagine ever...

My friend found this T on a trail in SoCal

That could describe an A hentzi or an A chalcodes MM. I've seen both (owned one of them) and they are very similar in appearance to the naked eye.

    Pesticide in Peat moss?

The peat I get says "100% Peat" on the packaging! Never had a problem with it.

    Rose Hair T.

Look for hooks on the backs of the front set of legs. If they are there, then yeah, most likely a MM on his way out to where they serve gravy covered crickets! If that's the case, time to be humane.
