It is not mature. It was obtained from a private party and sold as rufilata. I have my suspicions though as the carapace markings are not consistent. I will get more pictures. I also received a female from the same brood. I'm not sure how to tell which is which without the ventral end...
I am a passionate hobbyist who has decided to take this experience to the next level. Breeding T's and raising slings has proven to be a very rewarding challenge. I am hoping to make some money by selling the T's I have produced so I can buy other adults to add to my collection! =)
I'm very glad that we are having this discussion. After reconsidering, I think my paper towel was too moist. Plus the ootheca were touching it directly. The warmest place in my building is about 75° so I have altered my idea.

Since I'm having trouble getting nymphs from my colony, I though I would try putting some ootheca in a sealed sandwich bag with some moist sphagnum moss for humidity and place it on top of a reptile heating pad.

Long story short, I found these (and several others) larvae in with my roach colony.
I suspect they are mealworms but would appreciate some insight from the group.
