The substrate was practically powder for my cyaneopubescens. So I removed the old coco coir and replaced it with some Reptisoil. After a cursory walk around the renewed enclosure "Turquesa" headed to the water dish. I have never seen them drink so I quickly snapped a picture on my cellphone.

    what´s your first lost?

My first lost T "Bulldozer" (Acanthoscurria geniculata) was due to a wildfire that destroyed my whole town (90% of all residential houses destroyed). It was buried in it's hide in premolt. Thank you all for your help. I think I got the jist of it. I've seen YouTube videos of people using tongs, and read forum posts warning about possible fang damage. So I thought bamboo would be safer, especially since I've read that A. Geniculata think anything going into their habitat is food...

Bamboo Tweezers a safer alternative to steel tongs?

I ordered my first T (a 1 1/2" A. geniculata from fearnottarantula) today. I've been watching videos and reading forums as much as possible. While I'm waiting for it to show up I figured I would purchase any thing else I might need. So to my main question, would something like these bamboo...
