Scored a couple Ts for a steal including my first OW! Very excited :)))

All Tarantulas scare me. But it gave me a new appreciation and respect for them. Doesn't mean I'm terrified and refuse to interact. It's ok to be scared or worried... It's when your not your going to make a mistake.

Scored a couple Ts for a steal including my first OW! Very excited :)))

Yes actually by all means I do still have her. Sometimes it's 50/50 sometimes she wins and sometimes I win. When she wins its usually an escape but gets caught quickly and when I win she stays still. Mine is about 2.5 to 3 inches. I was not ready for her speed when I got her but I learned fast...

Scored a couple Ts for a steal including my first OW! Very excited :)))

Forgive me for being late to the party.. As a personal H. Mac owner.. I really hope you have done your homework and know how to deal with advanced techniques in keeping them at bay. They are demonically fast. Faster then you can react and IME they are a force to wreckon with. My girl has bit...

Well I usually keep my house around 21-27 degrees celcius n during the winter the furnace takes out alot of their moisture. I stay away from heat pads and or electric tape. Thank you for the quick responses.

G Pulchra not eaten for 8 months!!

    G. Pulchra is a really slow growing specie. Probably the main reason why I got her. Next to her being such a neat spooder

    Is this normal?!?!?

I've got mine in a critter keeper. I won't be able to show her in the picture but I can give you an idea on how I set mine up. She loves to burrow. But she will come out just before night-time. She is the only tarantula I've held in my whole collection was for a brief moment during a rehouse...

Had no idea my p. irminia was so defensive!

Here's my sweetheart. She is really easy going and a breeze to feed. I'd have to say she is more calm then my b. Albopilosum. Cheers :)

    D. diamantinensis and C. versicolor too much for new owner

Experience wise I waited 2 years before I got my versicolor sling. It's a reversal of the way of new worlds and regular raising. Keeping it mostly like a Gbb except arboreal. I also misjudged their appetite and how ferocious these little blue gems are

    C. Versicolor molting interval question.

Both my pokies have molted twice and grown considerably larger. For being pokies these ones are actually way easier then my A. Geniculata. My G. Pulchra is more aggressive then my pokie metallica and ornata. Little strange.

    C. Versicolor molting interval question.

It's in my spider section which is usually 25 during the day and a litter colder at night. But it usually feeds every 3 days. It hasn't touched the item that's in there just killed it n left it. Maybe premolt time?

    C. Versicolor molting interval question.

Hey guys. I purchased the group of newbies on July 9th. Arrived the next day. Beautifully packaged. I'm very new to the c. Versicolor, but have the experience to know what to do. To the point :) It's been quite a very long time since I've witnessed a molt... It had molted on the way so I was...

    PSA: glass is sharp

Wow. Usually when I pick up my glass for custom work my guy usually wraps each piece in newspaper and uses scotch tape to hold it all together. Petko has amazing designs. Don't forget to put your own spin on it. Currently working on a trap door feeding slot. Place food item in and when u close...

    P. ornata AF enclosure?

Wow that looks great. I've noticed not alot of ppl use a background for their enclosures. I only use them when it's not a full 360 view of the specimen with the hide usually around the middle but that looks great! It's awesome to see a bigger one then my little sling atm. Will be amazing to...

    P. ornata AF enclosure?

I have a sling at the moment but I think the 12x12x18 would probably be the best choice. You could really go all out with a nice piece of cork tube and really give it that jungle feel. Be careful of mesh top lids there notorious for harming ts
