Hey everyone. I'm trying to get some information as to which species of isopods require a higher protein intake. I'm trying to make information signs so people with say small reptiles and amphibians don't get the wrong type of clean up crew versus those with larger reptiles when selling at expos.
Okay I live in Southern California in the San Diego area Maple isn't that common nor is good oak wood / leaves what I do have is Coast Live Oak, scrub Oak, tons of European Alders, cottonwoods, liquid Amber, fruitless mulberries and Magnolias. Now I know Magnolias, Alders and cottonwoods are...
Hoping I can get some answers here. Since it's hard for me to get access to good oak leaves what is everyone's opinion on liquidambar and Fruitless Mulberry. I have tons of them around me so easy to get.
Sry this is for Isopods and Millipedes. Mainly Isopods.
Please let me know the type of leafs you prefer to use for your lsopods and Millipedes as leaf litter and to mix in the substrate. If you don't see the type you like pleas advise it in the comments.
Thank you.
I'm working on uping my substrate mix for my Isopods and Millipedes and want to add hard wood chips. is there something i can do to help them to start braking down or just add them to my mix?

Orchid mix. Didn't think of that. Whats your opinion on wood chunks that you can get for say smokers. I smoke meat so hard wood chips and chunks I usually have on hand.

Thx.
