    What is it?

I'm a T girl but my son talked me into a scorpion. Was sold to me as "emperor red claw" I know that to be somewhat incorrect. It would be a p.cavimanus if it was a Tanzanian red clawed I believe. It doesn't have red claws at all so I was thinking maybe just a regular p. imperator. But some one...

    P.irminia

I'm just nervous had two slings die on me recently. Both the same species in from the same sac. The first one I have no clue why and the second one was just recently victim of a cricket. Which is my fault obviously but I just don't feel like I have much luck with slings. It's not really the...

    P.irminia

Considering a p.irminia. I do not want a small sling. LPS has a 3 or 3.5" unsexed for 100 bucks? Is that to much? Cant find many that size to compare the price to. One was close and was 60 but I'd have to pay shipping so its about the same. Any advice on the p.irminia is appreciated also. Thanks!

    Dks survival

I know it's not the problem and it's a symptom I said I think she has dks. As in the symptoms. I have been keeping long enough that I know there is nothing wrong with her set up. I said she hasn't eaten since she came out not that she hasn't eaten since her last molt. Shes mature and hasn't...

    Dks survival

Well everything I've read says disknetic syndrome and that's what my vet calls it. Having more than one symptom. Jerky movements, loss of coordination, and inability to eat. But, respectively, I didn't ask to be corrected and schooled. Everyone who knows anything about tarantulas knows what I...

DKS stands for dyskinetic syndrome which is a general term for neurological symptoms. It's not a single symptom.

    Dks survival

Not sure. I offered a cricket 2 days ago. It touched her and she freaked. Later that day I saw it in her enclosure but now I dont. They have been known to get hung up in her web and her abdomen doesn't look any bigger so its possible but I dont think so.

    Dks survival

I know DKS is just the symptoms but since I'm not sure what's wrong with her and my others are fine I just used the general term. I'm sure she hasn't molted because there isn't one. There is nothing wrong with her enclosure shes been in it for several years now. No bugs or mold if any sort.

    Dks survival

I'm pretty sure my Mf c.cyaneopubescens has DKS. I'm wondering do some get better and survive? If she doesn't how long does it usually take for them to pass? I'm confident she not suffering to much yet as shes still roaming around but her abdomen is freakishly small and her movements are a bit...

    Arboreal suggestions

Hello all! I have an empty 8x8x12 enclosure that needs a new tenant. Its neighbors are an a.avic and a c.versicolor. Suggestions for something that does well at room temp and is fairly easy to keep? I've been looking at t.gigas and p.irminia. Thanks!

    Is it safe yet?

I built a shelf for my T's. Stained and polyurethane. Its been sitting for 2 weeks now. I dont smell it in the room anymore just when I put my nose right up to it. How sensitive are they really? Is it safe to put them on it yet?
