First thing my mesomelas decided to do in it’s new home was to completely bury the water dish. Sigh.

It’s one hell of a flicker haha but other than that pretty calm little spider. We’ll see if it hides a lot.

    Who molted today?

My P. ornata just molted. First molt she’s had in my care. Fairly stoked it was successful. Also my C. sp hati hati molted and it’s already looking like a MM...even though it seems a tad small for that.

Anyone else have a really docile pokie?

I’ve had to disturb my AF regalis a few times. Only ever heard her bolt. Which is well fun when you think oh hey 6” spider I can’t see because of how fast she is when she wants to be. That being said I have found most of my pokies have a calm disposition for the most part.

This has been a bit of contention. The true answer I think is we just don’t know. It could very well be a striata/regalis hybrid. However, many users here have had striata show faint ventral abdominal banding, that fades/disappears as it ages.

    Genus Name Abbreviations

I feel it doesn't take all that much to make yourself familiar with described and undescribed species (in certain instances, like Phormictopus sp. green, or Cyriopagopus sp. hati hati) so abbreviations shouldn't be all too much of a problem, if they were to begin with. If anything, I feel it...
