Totally!! I’ve only had my D. pent for less than a month, but the little half inch bugger is a beast of an eater. I use to think my C. cyan was a great eater, also the fact that the D. pent slings have more or less their adult colours already is pretty amazing.
B. albo, found them to be kind of boring looking especially when compared to other brachys. Ended up with 2 freebies, still tiny slings but they’re quite the diggers compared to the rest of my T’s.
T. seledonia and H. devamatha, unless prices come down of course.
As for ones I just wouldn’t get...at least for the time being... would be any of the t’s formally know as tapinauchenius. Although the T. violaceus is gorgeous.
Damn it’s soo black!... my B.albo sling is maybe a half inch now after a moult a few weeks ago and it’s still just a pale brown little thing. Patience is a virtue.
Well we’re just over a week in...a boy what a weeks it’s been. I start off with the smallest I suppose...
The teeny tiny B. albopilosum scavenged 2 cricket legs within the first 5 days. On Monday I made her a little starter hole a little deeper and put a few drops of water down just to keep it...

I figured lead with pictures, they all arrived alive! The first bottle I pulled out was labeled P. sazimai so I freaked out a little only to find it empty, but it was larger than the other bottles. The next one I pulled was a B. albo freebie, holy hell was it...
So they arrive tomorrow!!! The anticipation which dwindled in the past week has ramped back up to 11. I went out to the dollar store to get a few supplies and found some sweet little 8 oz containers and like y’all said before smaller is better so I set up a bunch of em. I kept one of the bigger...
I made sure not to buy anything under 1/2 inch, 1/4 felt way too small. Not sure if you can tell from the pics, but the holes are tiny, maybe an 1/8 of an inch or less. I’ll glue the leaves to the cork bark when it comes in, just wanted to see it semi set up. I made 5 of them, just incase...
Finally pulled the trigger, after humming and hawing, a few changes were made and I settled on A. seemani, E. rufescens, B. emilia and C. cyaneopubescens. Amanda and family are on vacay next week so I have to wait till the 31st for shipment, but I’m still waiting on corkbark anyways so it’s all...
The G. pulcripes is at the top of my list but they’re currently not available, C. Versicolor was also another option I was thinking about. Dwarf species are definitely on my list, but I was thinking more down the line. I find both Heterthele gabonensis and villosella in a communal set up is kind...
Ok... well that was quite a bit to read through... I appreciate all the input and suggestions. Yeah nothing has been set in stone as to what to get, I agree that I should probably stick to nw terrestrial until I’m more comfortable and have actually raised slings before going nuts.
So A...
Well hello there! Thanks for stopping by... I guess a little introduction is nescesary for my first post. Like most folks I was terrified of spiders, like burn the whole house down if I saw one. But for about 3 months now I’ve become slightly obsessed with them, spending a lot of my free time...
