Have little experience with this species. Looks like ploydesmida. These 2 near bottom have been stuck together like this for 2 weeks now. One is overlapping the end of the other. Is this standard breeding? Both have ability to move i have seen when iv checked on them about every week to 4 days...
I use a heating pad same style as mickiem. Keep my apartment in louisiana at about 70-71 degrees (68 at night) . So heating pad isnt 100% necessary but it is highly beneficial. I just keep it above the substrate a few inches. My Agb's so far do fine.
i currently have a false bottom in mine. and i can tell you water logging can still happen. my isopod enclosure did at one point. i ended up putting a stand pipe in exactly like sschind mentioned and it is helpful. especially when i leave for a bit and someone less experienced takes care of them...
Seems the safe bet is to always bake/boil at least for inexperienced keepers. logic would dictate less variables the better, at least that's how i view it. less things to consider or worry about.
