So I recently bought a couple of small(1/2") scorplings. I'm having a hard time finding small enough feeders for them and was wondering if I could feed them some dwarf white isopods? Would they be safe for them to eat?
So I'm getting my Vinagaroon an enclosure thats a bigger than what its currently in and I was wondering if substrate made with Humus, Peat Moss, Sand and some perlite was safe for her? Basically its a potting soil mix i can and will probably be adding exo earth to it.
So about a year ago I bought a P.imperator and a H.petersii scorpling from Tarantula Canada. A couple of weeks ago when I was feeded my scorplings and I think I switched the labels on them by accident. Can someone help me out ID them?
I've tried looking online but I can only find ID info on...
Just an update
After I added more substrate, she dug into it that night. I checked on her today and she has an egg sack.
Also I was wonder how long do that take to hatch and do such things like phantom egg sacks happen with vinegaroon?
Ok thanks. I added more substrate to her enclosure but will probably very carefully move her to that bigger bin i have and give her at least 6 inches of substrate, so she would have more room to dig.
So I have a what looks like a very gravid female and was hopping for any info on what to do. I currently have her on eco earth in a medium Exo Terra Breeding box. I have a container that's about double the size of one of those shoe box containers that I can transfer her into if need be...
Vaejovis confusus was renamed to Paravaejovis confusus, they are the same scorpions. Also the scientific name for the Florida bark scorpion is Centruroides gracilis.
15 of my 17 scorpions I bought from Tarantula Canada, they are probably the best seller here in Canada for anything arachnid...
Love these little guys. This was my 1st scorpion, sadly it was wild cought and died of old age, I believe. I would definitely love to get some of these CBB if I can find some locally.
Been keeping tarantulas for 3 year and scorpions for 2, got a lot more hot scorpions now so I try to keep my hands away from them and I always use my 12" feeding tongs with anything that has any type of venom.
I got one in September during the CRBE in canada and its doing well. I got it to it by teasing it with a cricket. I've have mine for 2 months as well, in a similar state as your are in. I'm guessing that during this time of the year they slow down due to the cold weather

Like NYAN said temps at 80-90 Fahrenheit, the are defensive and use tongs when you do anything with it or its enclosure.
For me it doesn't matter how strong/dangerous a scorpions venom is I always use tongs for anything.
Also I will probably get a Androctonus australis Tunisia next month...
