I transported all of mine in their enclosures for a 20+ hour drive as well. I wouldnt be too worried. The only thing I can think of is to be sure you dont have them in any direct sunlight coming into the vehicle. Wouldnt want them to overheat.
Mine are both female & grew pretty quickly. Once they hit the point where i could tell they were female though they've slowed down. Still eat regularly though so i hope your little one is okay!
I ordered 1k larges before and they ate through the screen on the tub while we were out :) Then my american bulldog proceeded to eat some carpet trying to get them. After catching like 300 you just start smashing them in anger. LOL.

I just open the enclosure more often until they stop attaching it to the lids or doors. They eventually get the hint. Plus i feel like it gives them something to do. :p
The two rentals we lived in did the 500 dollar deposit per animal as well but as stated above it was only for cats/dogs. They didn't worry about caged animals because of the minimal risk of damage to their property. I doubt you'll have an issue as long as you're not filling the entire space with...
