Well honestly I don't really know the difference, I just called it fat to call it that I guess haha, but from what I see, it doesn't look too different from when I saw her 6 months ago.
So I figured to rotate my tank today to check if my vinny burrowed by the glass on the side. Low and behold she did!
I was probably a bit too late to see her molt, however I am glad to announce that she is alive & well. I cannot tell how big she got though, all I could see was her fat abdomen.
So I posted on here a while back about how my vinny burrowed, and sealed herself up. I'm assuming the thread was closed or something but it seems to have disappeared.
Anyways like the title states, should I be concerned? It's now November, soon to be December, and she still has not come forth...
Okay thanks for that, it kind of made me a bit relaxed as she still hasn't come out yet. If I knew that they burrowed this much I think I would have just gotten a red knee tarantula instead... whole reason I avoid the burrowing turantulas..
I believe she burrowed back in july or late june

Dude, where in the hell in AZ do you live because in the past 20 years I have lived here, I have NEVER encountered these... Just bought my second one from Custom Creatures (accidentally squished my first one, which I preferred a lot more because my new girl is super...
Well I recently caught a couple and observed them in a preserved ecosystem within a jar (I tend to label them jarrarium's). Some didn't make it, some did, but I observed one feasting on a juvenile cricket that I acquired at Petco; they usually are labelled as small crickets. It ended up passing...
It's a possibility. One of my wild caught jumpers surrounded itself in a bubble of web, and proceeded to molt inside it. After molting it stayed within the web bubble for a couple of days (I kept it in a glass jar so the humidity probably messed with the drying process). However, before that it...
