i just ordered a boehmei and an albopilosa, hopefully they should come tomorrow... just hoping i wont get covered in hairs when transferring to new enclosures!
depends on the T ... my A.metallica made a little one within 3-4 days that i got it, then it ditched that one and found a 'better' spot in its cage which it formed about a week later
thanks very much for the advice guys! ive herd or hair flicking, not stridulate?!.. just looks like il have to wait for a boehmei to come back in stock :8o il definately go for a juvie, my smithi is such a slow grower and i need a larger spider to scare off the sister :D
not sure which one to choose to buy .. ive been weighing out the options on colouration, temperment and conditions to keep..
i like the colours of both Ts but the bohemi just tops it, ive read that vagans can be a little bit more skittish
any help guys?
totally agree:
i think when people read that Ts get stressed out from a lot of space this is aimed towards beginners which put a T in a big tank with just some soil (as ive seen them sold in shops). if a T has a large tank but decor to hide and find a 'home' in the tank to be confortable its...
yeah the b.klaasi T's need a bigger enclosure now.. try and get some shots from underneath the abdomens of the spiders that you need sexing. i know its hard as you have some heavy webbing spiders there :)
ohh no :( hes my fav one at the moment , atleast it will mean my parents wont be able to say 'you dont have any more room for spiders!' once he has gone so i can get another
he matured about 8 or 9 months ago , i feel really sorry for him as he charges round his cage every night , though i feed him his abdomen is small but he hasnt yet made a sperm web , any ideas on how much longer the lil guy has ?
this also reminds me of my a.avic,, everytime i 'nudge' my avic to get it out it always attacks my paint brush and uses his legs to try and put it into his mouth lol .. it is quite funny! but after that he realsises it isnt food and then i calmly coax him out and he isnt agressive at all :)
my lil pinktoe molted about a week or so ago but today i only realised that it could have spurs on it , though i wasnt sure so decided to post these pics, sorry they are rubbish quality but you can kinda see where i mean :)
a confirmation would be great please guys !
