    GBB Breeding

I will most certainly be doing this once I have any transactions/trades I can make or if I wind up deciding to loan out my dude haha. Thanks, Ungoliant :)

    GBB Breeding

Turns out my OBT is a male, has those tibial hooks, no sperm web noticed yet and palps don't look packed. Guess I'm shopping for a mature female. Unless someone needs a male. Anyway thanks for help all. Guess I'll say my questions for this thread are all answered!

    GBB Breeding

Okay thank you for the advice. I had read about the disparity rate between males and females. Pretty crazy! I guess what I was getting at in my earlier post was to get slings or a young male to raise once the female was near or at maturity as you said. I will wait until the one I have matures...

    Introduce Yourself

Welcome Kiliost! I've only ever had 5 different Ts, but I'd be more than happy to help answer any questions if I can. Otherwise you came to the right place. Lots of helpful and knowledgeable people here :)

    GBB Breeding

Ah okay thank you again for the advice. I will do as you suggested and make the decision between OBT or an Avic for my first go around! Hahaha well I'm glad it is. I may very well try to breed some OBTs then as my first go around. Wonder how easy they are to sell if I am successful given their...

    GBB Breeding

Let's say for now I'm not too worried about money. I could invest probably a couple hundred bucks, but otherwise I'll go the patience route. So given that what would you recommend? Lol awesome. The secret is between us! That's cool to know. I have an OBT but not sure if it's a female or male...

Info on keeping GBE? I'm very interested.

Haha actually there exists a hobby community much like this that breeds them in captivity. And as far as being poisonous, they lose their toxicity when raised in caprivity, because it is their diet of venomous insects in the wild that makes them poisonous. So on a diet of isopods and fruit flies...

    GBB Breeding

Awesome. Thank you all for such quick replies! So I'm going to go ahead and try and "easier" species first. So my next issue is this: my last avic passed away of old age just a week ago. If I intend to breed them now, how would you go about getting new one (s) for the purpose of breeding. Like...

    GBB Breeding

Hey all, So I'll keep the question short and sweet and then go from there. How do I successfully breed C. Cyaneopubescens? For background I only have a single female juvenile, near adult I'd say. I love the GBB though, and as I get more into the hobby, I would really love to be able to breed...

Info on keeping GBE? I'm very interested.

I don't have any but I would recommend you try looking into creating a "bioactive" terrarium set up for them. It might be cool and fun. You can use isopods to keep the high humidity substrate free from mold and life plants are cool. I am building one for my Dentrobates Tinctorius (poison dart...

    Lol awesome. Good job!

    Chromatopelma Cyaneopubescens substrate?

I know this is way late, and you asked specifically about substrate, but I would like to add for anyone who comes across this that the GBB will want bone-dry substrate which always ends up being kinda loose. Make sure you have plenty of anchor points for the webbing! The dry substrate alone...

    Introduce Yourself

Hi all, Just popping in to say hello. I am new to Arachnoboards, but have had T's for a few years now. So far I am loving the hobby and am actually going to venture into breeding soon (which is actually what brings me to making an account). If anyone knows where I could find some solid advice...
