I have the high calcium cricket diets which are dried flakes of who knows what. Those seem to grow mold like crazy though. Can I use that. I am leaving for 3 weeks and I don't want a ton of mold and worms to grow while I'm gone. Thanks
I recently left for 3 weeks and some orange cubes went rotten and little worms were growing beneath them. I have removed them all (I hope) but there is a disgusting rotten egg smell inside. Is this harmful? I little ventilation temporarily but will change that once my scorpion eats .
My sub was infested with baby crickets and I would rather kill them than house them to maturity. Can I microwave to kill them or do I have to let it dry out first? I really don't want to wait that long for the sub to dry out. Thanks guys
I take that back. There seem to be hundreds. I moved my scorp to a different container and I'm going to try and microwave them to see if they all die. Is that ok to do? Is microwaving dirt and then giving it to the scorpion safe?
I looked closely and the white between the plates is about half the size of the dark plate. So it looks like this below. Is this large enough for molt? It doesn’t seem like it’s going to explode like the pic above but also not too skinny either. Also baby crickets invaded and it’s annoying me...
I could be since I think it's female but I highly doubt it. Mine is very small and young. Not much longer than 2 inches or so. I don't think they are gravid that young right?
I'm really confused because I thought those were signs of premolt. I can't get better pictures because of I move the top, it will get out of the position I am trying to show you. I'll just try and describe it to you the best I can. It has its claws retracted and tail completely sideways. The...
When it's not moving during day, it stays like this and twitches like it is in premolt. I'll wake up the next morning and see it walking around like nothing. I don't know if that's normal. It's tail is sideways and claws retracted and twitches. Here are some pics.
OK here's the deal. I got a tube florescent light for day light that is turned off at night. I also got a infra on day and night. Infra is 1.3ish feet above and so is florescent. The fluorescent is not hot and does not dry but the infra definitely does. I'm having trouble keeping the humidity...
the light seems to be drying the air and the humidity is now 70%. Is there a way to keep it up and not dry so quickly or do I have to buy a humidifier?
