Good ideas, Mirandarachnid! I will post pictures later. I told my husband it needs cleaned and he said it would be hard, and I said "you bought her...." IT is gross.....i mean, if she did it on purpose it's at least impressive that she can build her own spa. We had humidity retention issues...
Thank you Paul...I don't feel as guilty for destructing her webbed carpet then. They're tough when they go and burrow like that, because you don't want to bother them and you don't know if they're alive. Now she's flooded and I'm not sure how to get it unflooded because she is, well, a jerk.
Hey all, since there is already a thread about enclosures for cyrios, i'll add mine here. So, ours did her thing where she burrowed under her coconut shell and put dirt on each side so she was totally boxed in. She was in there for many weeks,so I decided to peak. Turns out, there is a GIANT...
Thank God, I'm not alone. My husband put a worm in there the day before she molted and I was trying to remove it and it fell. So freaking stupid .
We had a stirmi whose leg fell off twice and it kind of naturally clots but I dont know how. Guess it's just internal. People say super glue...
Yes the entire thing fell substrate and all. Her joints looked a bit wet but the water dish fell too, and could be from the fresh molt...or I screwed up big time
I'm a giant klutz and knocked my slings container over...she molted on Thursday. Shes a year old and it's her 3rd molt since we've had her. She landed on carpet, and fell about 3 feet with the entire container. Her name is Penelope. If anyone is the praying type I'd gladly accept prayers and...
Hey everyone. I'm thankful for the help..I am not trying to sound like I'm talking negativity about my spouse, but he gets the spiders and I end up responsible for a lot of their care. The first t we got was our Rosie, a friend of mine knew he had ts before and Offered us a free one...
I definitely agree about more research. I kind of thought when attending the show that we wouldn't have a lot of options, like the last time we went...but this is what he chose and the breeder gave us some advice.
Yeah I'm not going anywhere near her unless she's confined. I think I should...
Yeah this is going to be interesting. For me this is the third breed I've had, he's had at least three others when he lived In Poland. This one man....transfering her was a nightmare. It was like Escape for Alcatraz.
I definitely agree. When I looked more into the humidity I was worried because we have central air. Thanks for the suggestions.
Its pretty deep but like I said, this was sort of just for a few days. Thanks for the help.
I told him to pick. This is a new hobby for me, I trust him to know better. We talked at length with the guy that sells them.....that's why I'm here. I'm nervous about this one.
