    Bhamorii

This is my B. hamorii that just molted yesterday. His/her size is approximately 2 1/2 to 3 inches now. I am learning to sex molts, but am not very good and was hoping for some opinions on whether this is a male or female. Thank you!

    Nervous new spider mommy LOL

No, I have no idea how old s/he is. She was 1/2 inch when I got her on March 1st. I don't know when her last molt was, this is her first in my care. She has access to water, her soil is only slightly moist on one side, dry on the side she's buried herself under her hide. There is no mold in...

    Nervous new spider mommy LOL

Update: Rosey still has not come out of hiding or molted yet.....15 days and counting. I can hold the cup up and see through the bottom of the container where she is so I know she's still alive. Trying to keep my patience, I just wish she'd get on with it so she can eat something LOL!

    G. pulchripes sling setup question.

So I've had little Taco since March 1st. S/he is in a small deli cup with some dirt, a hide, a couple little fake leaves and a water dish. For the first couple of weeks, she didn't do much but hide whenever I looked in on her. But now, the last week maybe, the water dish is empty every day I...

    What Was Your First Tarantula?

My first T was an A. avic, whom I got a little over a month ago. I call her pinkie and she cracks me up every time I feed her. As soon as she feels the cricket moving at the end of my tongs, she jumps on the tongs and takes the cricket then gets onto the side of her cage where she proceeds to...

Your favorite T? Your least favorite T?

Hmmm, of the ones that I have, my favorite is my G. pulchripes. S/he is always rearranging her little deli cup and tossing over her water. She's got a trench down the middle with all the dirt pushed to the sides today.....every day it's a new home LOL! My least favorite is actually my...

    Nervous new spider mommy LOL

Yea, I'm trying not to get freaked out about it going under there LOL I'm just nervous for her. I know she knows what she's doing, so I'll leave her to it. I'm not going to attempt to feed her again since she didn't eat last time I fed her. I'll wait and be patient (not one of my strong suits...

    Nervous new spider mommy LOL

Ok, so we all know I'm new to this and doing my best. I got my slings on March 1st and have managed to keep them alive so far, so I figure I'm doing ok LOL! They are all eating good and laying some web and seem to have settled in pretty good. Well, now I'm nervous. My G. rosea has gone under her...

ME TOO!! I just got a 1/2" baby last Thursday. She seems to finally be settling in, ate for me for the first time last night and finally put up a few strings to a web today. I was getting worried about her.....being new to this and all :)

Ugh the T bug has bitten , so has the wife.....

OMG When I first started reading this, I thought my husband had changed his name on here and wrote this. He bugged me for a good year or more about getting a tarantula and because I am/was terrified of spiders, I have always said NO WAY!!! Until a couple of months ago.....we were in a pet store...

What is the scariest spider you currently own and why?

She' got 10 or 11 inches of substrate and a hide. At first she just sat outside the hide, now she's at least going in the hide and it does look like she's dug down a little and she webs up the hide so you can barely see in. I' m wondering if it's too moist for her and maybe that is why she won't...

    Any New Additions?

I received my new slings this morning! I got a Grammostola rosea RCF, a Grammostola pulchripes, a Brachypelma hamorii, a Caribena versicolor, and a Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens. I hope I spelled all those right from memory LOL. They are so cute and tiny! I posted pictures of them in the...

What is the scariest spider you currently own and why?

So far our scariest T between me and my husband has got to be his Cobalt blue! She's incredibly fast, has managed to escape once! Oh, boy was that a scary night! She is very aggressive and I don't go near her! My husband tends to her, and he has learned that you can tend to her during the day...
