Yep it's tricky to weed out the bad info.
So far so good, the little guy walked back home. As he's walking around on its own I didn't flip him over or anything, just letting him do his own thing.
On this note, how common is it for slings or adults to take over 12 hours to molt?
Is it known of...
Thanks, that's a lot of info. Is confusing that there is so much contradiction in opinions on this case. Read five different articles and itll tell you five different things.
The sling has started walking around, so I'm sure it'll be fine. It'll go back in its enclosure then!
Hi all,
after a week or so of premolt my little GBB sling was on it's back yesterday night. This morning I discovered it fell off it's hammock, wedged between some decoration and the side of the enclosure. Worried that it's been so long and it didn't manage to moult yet, I was thinking humidity...
I've had this little guy for about three months. He's even moulted once, so can't be doing too bad. Typical Grammostola he's hardly grown during his moult. So far he didn't want any live food, only pre-killed. However I bet he's been spending most of the time in premoult.
Might give pill Blister packs a go then. Anything bigger than that will take up about a quarter of that enclosure, as it's under 4 cm in width. I'll report back in a few weeks (if I remember!)
Hi all,
My tiny G Pulchripes sling seems to be sitting in stress pose quite often (if not most of the time). I've attached some images of the enclosure/ventilation. I know little guy is probably in premolt, considering the big black butt / refusing food / he's due.
Also, the substrate is on the...
I use bean weevils, and they work great. I have slings of 7mm dls happily eating them. The advantage for me is that you can culture them without much effort. All you need to do is add some individuals and some beans from an existing colony to a vented pot with dried black eyed beans, and a few...
Lovely! Would you mind posting a few more pictures from different angles? I really like how you raised the substrate closer to the side of the enclosure.
