It's been entirely too long since I've made a post on here. I needed to downsize so right now I'm sitting at 12 tarantulas.
I still have my P. metallica, he hasn't grown much or matured yet.
My C. versicolor I confirmed as female.
I still also have: my P. irminia which is a mature...

Bunch has happened since I was last on.
Got my first MM P. sp. rufus. I traded him for a female Y. diversipe (and a couple of his slings if she drops). He did well, so we're just waiting to see if the female drops. He did get eaten by the female but seeing how she ate the first male, I...

Not much has happened besides molts and such. My P. subfusca that was sick passed. Still wasn't able to figure out what went wrong.
This beautiful girl is out lately.
This boy's color is amazing. It's going to suck when he goes gray but at least I can enjoy him now.
P. sp. rufus...
Probably the case. I really don't know that much about true spiders. Just got a bit worried because I've never seen a false widow with bright white dots but if they can be like that I have no doubt that's what it is. False widows are pretty common here.
(I think it's an albomaculata because of...
So it's very difficult to get a picture so I cant really help on that regards but I found this spider in my bathroom and decided to keep it. It's about the size of a pin and just recently started showing white dots on the body.
I looked it up and this is all I could find that looked similar...
Man this sucks. I cut up a big super and put it nearby. Hopefully if it can get some nutrients it can start feeling better but idk it might be nearing its end.
I'm not sure what the issue is. I've been feeding prekilled. Usually with ever T I own regardless of size the first meal is prekilled. This so if it wasn't ready yet it doesnt worry about predators. Last 3 times I've tried feeding have been prekilled. I left dead for the last 2 days (changing it...
It was perfectly healthy before it molted but after the molt the issues started. It hasn't eaten once since then. It's been 21 days and it's getting pretty skinny. It drinks all the time. Or tries to. I checked the molt for the sucking stomach to make sure that wasn't the issue and it's not...
They can drink from the substate in my experience. I have an extremely finicky P. subfusca that I noticed was pretty dehydrated. It has a water dish that is always full but for some odd reason it prefers the substrate. I've even pushed this one on its water dish and it still would rather drink...
The substrate isnt great to be fair and I'm not sure what kind of T is in there but that's not good for a terrestrial hight wise. If its arboreal (which it looks like webbing for an avic.) It needs more vertical things to climb. So either way I would catch cup the T. Do a full clean and...
Only issue would be if you were ordering from America which seems to happen a lot. Not sure why they even send them to America but I guess its not on them if an American gets caught importing tarantulas without a license.
Alright, let me preface this by saying that this isn't scientifically proven or anything like that. Its information I got from another breeder and it makes a whole bunch of sense.
Here's the actual important stuff:
Mold grows in moisture. High moisture and low airflow can create an idea...
Definitely not like ground breaking but without paying anything for shipping and getting a bunch of nice T's it's pretty great. The C. schmidti is absolutely gorgeous. The picture doesnt even do her justice she's just so bright.
I think the previous owner had no issue with it but he has been...
Naw I separated them. I have no experience with communals so I felt safer this way. Plus I realised, I don't think communals are for me. I like to have extensive data on all my T's and it makes it hard when 8 of them are in there together.

I got a P. regalis communal and I thought about it and came to the conclusion that I'm probably not ready nor do I think I want a communal of this magnitude. Plus the mess of the enclosure was driving me nuts and there would really be no viable way to clean it. Not to mention how I would...
I just got the deal of the lifetime. One of the people near me was downsizing so I got a great deal for 200$
-Sling P. reduncus
-Sling A. mariannae
-Susp. Female hapopelma schmidti, I'm not sure much about this one since the information on it is a bit spotty but it seems like you keep it like...
