Best feeder for scorpions other than crickets

I’ve used mealworms to feed my scorpions. I breed them so I can cherry pick the smallest mealworms to feed. I’ve also used bean weevils occasionally buts that’s just because they were available, they’re quite small but they do the trick in a pinch and are easy to breed

    Feeding Slings

I’ve got a homoeomma chilensis sling that hasn't molted in a couple years maybe I’ll shake the enclosure and throw it around a bit to trigger the molting process.

    Taking the OBT Leap

From what I understand OBTs have had a bad name because people would put them in a shoe box enclosure that is 6” tall and wonder why the T wants to bite when they rip the lid off. If they have somewhere to hide they will hid. What spider would take on a human unless they have to??

    Feeding a 1” sling

Just try it out and see if the T is scared of the dubia. I feed my slings a cricket leg from a larger cricket or new born mealworms(I breed mealworms) I also use bean weevils for slings but a 1” sling might be too big. If a T is hungry they will scavenge dead food so don’t think it has to be...

What do you do with your tarantulas molts?😁

I keep a few on top of the enclosures but when I watch my T’s and breath they will move and it freaks me out so I’ll probably get rid of them. Will isopods eat molts???

What Are the Most Active Isopods?

I would suggest an armadillidium species, my zebras are quite active and usually out. I think they are less skittish because they can just roll into a ball if they feel threatened and they don’t need to run. The dairy cows I have will scatter like cockroaches at the slightest disturbance, they...

    Help with my leopard gecko?

The only thing I can think of would be maybe it’s too warm and it’s trying to get away from the heat.... but if you have a warm and cool side then you should be good. Ive had my girl for about 14 years with no issues other than the occasional month long fast. I think she’s had times that she...

Is it OK to mix N. incei and N. incei gold in the same communal enclosure?

The wicked C word must never be spoken on arachnoboards...it is forbidden!!!!

    C. versicolor sling kills but not eating

maybe a few more leaves up top so the T can have somewhere to squeeze into. You could just have a murderous versi.

    C. versicolor sling kills but not eating

a picture of the T would help. If the T is full then it could just be killing them so they don’t bother it. I wouldn’t feed it for a while if it looks fat

    Rehousing

I think most spiders could do with only a handful of rehouses from sling to adult size. I think the 3x “rule” is mostly to let people know that a 1.5” spider doesn’t need a 10 gallon tank so it can run laps. It also helps people to keep an eye on slings, once they get a few inches I think it’s...
