    C Versicolor sling premolt

based off of what you are saying, it sounds like a premolt. Im not sure about the falling to the ground, but if there is an issue there isn't much else you can do. The abdomen does look a little on the smaller side, or my c. versi sling is a fatty. just give it some time and whatever you do...

Things that bug you in the hobby

Im sure some of these, if not all will already be mentioned, but this is what bothers me most. 1. people who tell me that keeping my tarantula collection is disgusting and weird and they should all be killed 2. mealworms / superworms who get away and burrow in the substrate (I understand you...

    Worried not worried

My A. seemanni had been in premolt for about 5 months. don't worry, they tend to take their time.

    B.albopilosum questions

Some of my Tarantulas will dig to the bottom of their enclosure, no matter how deep the substrate is. Its kinda impressive sometimes how deep they like to dig. I wouldn't worry to much about it. The only thing that I would recommend is to just add a tiny bit of moisture along the bottom layer of...

@EulersK thats what I figured. Awesome photo by the way! I have a M. balfouri that I have kept since it was a sling, and I've probably only have seen it a handful of times outside of its burrow. Truly a fascinating species to watch develop into their adult coloration.

Are the slings from an eggsack that was laid in the enclosure?

Local pet store Striped Knee, health questions?

my A seemanis like to dig deep burrows. I like to make sure the moisture reaches the bottom layer of substrate by making a small hole down the corner of the tank and pouring water, a little at a time. It will also keep the sub from drying out too quickly.

This species will be my next purchase for sure. I've been going back and forward between C. Lividum and G. Pulchra. Thanks for helping me decide! I love the black fluffy pulchra but nothing is as satisfying to me as the beautiful old worlds, even if they are typically pet holes with bad attitudes.

When can i feed my newly molted b. Albopilosum

The size of the tarantula can make a big difference. SLings are ready to go much faster that adults or juveniles. I've always waited one week to feed slings, and 2 weeks for adults/ juvenile.

    Reptisoil a good substrate?

I use this substrate mixed 1:1 with coco fiber. Works great! a tad on the pricey side though.

How Often Do You Buy T.'s?

If i find the tarantula I have been wanting, and I can afford it, and I have space for it, I buy it.That can be as many as 20 in a year, or 1.
