Offer her a crushed roach that still slightly wiggling. Lay it in front of her and leave her alone. Good chance she will take it. Also make sure temos are 80-85 daytime and a filled water dish. Bet she will pop not too far off
She's getting there. Just keep it moist and warm, low to mid 80s daytime. Don't feed until a couple days after the babies molt the first time, then try ting feeding a large dubia. I leave babies with mom for a month or so at least, and if/when I seperate them I keep the babies together. In the...
Looks like it was probably on its way out already. Probably old or suffering from mycosis or something similar. Not your fault, but the temps should be higher for future reference
You quoted me trying to teach me something or correct what I said to the OP. I wasn't talking to you in this thread whatsoever until you did that. If you don't have access or much hands on experience identifying these scorpions, maybe don't try to school me or anyone else about it as if you do...
I've also keep H. spinifer (and bred), C. tristis (ex H. mysorensis) and have kept H. silenus. Theres a general "large black scorpion" look to them, but plenty of ways to easily accurately identify them from eachother. Post clear pictures of any of those said species and I can identify it...
I have had quite a few dictator, imperator (savanna and forest), viatoris, cavimanus and swammerdami in my possession and have bred them all, aside from cavimanus. Personally, they are pretty easy for me to tell apart with a glance. Some locality variation exists within most species of anything...
Pandinopsis dictator
Leiurus jordanensis
Several other broods I didn't get pictures of unfortunately... a couple L. quinquestriatus, L. haenggii, stigmurus, Pandipalpus viatoris, etc
Just sharing some pics of a few recent successful broods I've produced. Been a busy season so far and a lot more popping any time .
8i Parabuthus transvaalicus
Tityus smithii (several broods)
Centruroides sculpturatus
2x Grosphus/Teruelius grandidieri
There are some places with actual Pandipalpus viatoris right now, I think Underground or LLL. Petco was selling imperator as viatoris also recently tho lol. So be careful. Viatoris doesn't have granulated chelae, and are a bit smaller. Females do kinda look like mini imperator but with smooth...
Also make sure it doesn't dehydrate. They are an arid species but babies need more moisture one in a while. Spirits warmer on a corner of its enclosure
For a forest/pandinus type 5i or up is best imo. Younger than that should still be raised communally with mom or just the siblings, they grow and eat better. Other scorpions it all depends. Many buthuds are easy at 2i and up, just don't let them dehydrate and give them plenty heat
