Both my P. metallica and P. regalis prefer prekilled prey for some reason so you could try that. I'm not sure if you have red runners available in your location but those are like tarantula candy, even the pickiest won't refuse them running by. She's probably still adjusting or could even be in...
100% would not at all want to get more T's from them. It looks like he just took the containers the tarantulas were already living in and shipped them exactly like that. I've never seen such butchery of packaging spiders, just all wrong. So sad for your losses but it was inevitable the second...
Sorry for your loss. One of mine I purchased from a similar situation as you did molted then ended up passing away four days later. She was walking oddly and flipped over like yours did. Another contributing factor is that it was likely wild caught and who knows what it went through before...
A picture of her would help to answer with certainty but what you are describing sounds like she is preparing to molt. All of mine get dark legs when a molt is imminent.
My larger sling has been doing the same thing ever since she built up her web tunnel to the top of her enclosure. Then she'll go into her burrow for awhile and repeat. Nothing to worry about, soon yours will make a castle of dirt curtains too.
It does look similar to my males unfortunately. The dark patch combined with the very thin, flat furrow area makes me lean that way, plus it looks nothing like the N. chromatus females I found on google in my opinion. Here's a picture of mine from a couple years ago that is now exceeding four...
Somebody I'm in contact with for a breeding loan said he had a delay that was four days late and his animals were still well. I didn't ask about what heat pack the seller had used, but regardless your slings should be fine. I'm experiencing the same thing right now, second time this month. Doubt...
Most slings lack the coloration that they will gain in their juvenile and adult stages. With A. moorae, you'll be waiting a substantial amount of time before yours starts displaying adult colors.
Normal, tarantulas are never happy about a rehouse and they have to acclimate to their new surroundings. You could try providing a piece of cork bark with a starter burrow to give her somewhere to hide.
Hoping yours will be okay, you could try dripping a little water near her mouth to ensure she's hydrated. My 3" juvie just passed today and was in the same exact position as yours, legs curled in towards the bottom, before finally falling onto her back. She molted Tuesday and apparently never...
Recently, one of my C. versicolor slings molted against the side of its enclosure with one leg folded underneath of it and subsequently lost the leg. Your GBB easily could've had a similar issue especially if it molted in tight quarters. My P. cambridgei female also has a funky back leg, it's a...
It looks like a bit of uneaten prey to me. If I forget to pick out a prekilled item especially in a more moist enclosure, it looks white and fuzzy just like that. Won't harm your tarantula as long as it doesn't build up and create an unfit environment.
When mine was a sling, during a couple bathtub rehouses it would run up the wall despite me doing everything cautiously. Also due to my learning curve but they're so extremely fast even with four legs (got pinched in shipping then by the enclosure lid). Patience is key when working with these...
