i get these two little guys from a trader who happens to own a pregnant female. and they molted twice since they came here for three weeks! really strong and tough guys and will eat any insects or dead ones that they anc sink their teeth in. it is my first time keeping wolfspiders but it feels...
yes it is......and form a chinese centipede online forum they say that this is a dawydoffi, but they also say that this one is very near to the morsitans,i think the salers may use the name dawydoffi to sale banded morsitans?as in China salers mostly sale pedes by “place of...
yes,it is trying to eat the skin it just molted ,i kept tarantulas Scorpions and mantis before and one of my leaf mantis got eaten by cricket after molted as the cricket was hidden in the leaf,i will be careful to make sure they are harden before i feed them.
thankyou for that ,i am beganing to think that mine might just be the banded version of Scolopendra morsitans which looks quite similar to a new guy like me?and i will try to feed it (or a her if it really is a Scolopendra morsitans for it‘s thin last pair?)next week.
oh,thank you for that ,i had only checked a few old documents, here our traders sale them by common name.
and i am trying pre-killed mealworm now but it still dose not seem to show interest ,i bought a few small cricket and maybe it could set off the urge of hunting when it sees small...
i ordered one Scolopendra subspinipes cingulatoides a week ago and it arrived yesterday!really excited to show it to you guys, this is really magnificent creature ,but it's afraid of anything ,even a mealworm ,trying to figure out how to feed him.
picture showed on the#4
talking about hibernation ,it seems very risky for centipedes as a lot of Chinese keepers who tried this lost a lot of their centipedes, but i heard that mint legs sometimes hibernate in their native habitat ,but the temperature there rarely goes lower than 7or8 celsius.
oh yes ,i would like to share my pictures of the new arrival ,and mint legs are so beautiful ,realy special coloration, but really expensive guys tooヘ(;´Д`ヘ),you ‘ve got a great collection!
i am a scorpion guy more than centipede guy ,but now i had fall in love with centipedes ,they are just so ferocious ,now ordered a Scolopendra subspinipes cingulatoides .
a very beautiful girl ,just arrived this noon and began to hunt down prey in the evening, they were known in China as the quintessence of all Chinese centipedes ,and really popular as pets for new centipede lovers in China.
