Mine burrow also. Give them in a corner a pre made hole, and they will use it. This hole can be very deep... I mix Loam with cocos or peat to give strong structure to the substrate..

Flies are good for spiders who dont want to eat, but they are no more than a good drink.. Beter feed mealworm/buffalo or cricket (i prefer mealworm with the small spiders, they grow very good on worm...)

I have bought slings from someone who has took 2 cocoon's from Marokko. The female where he took the cocoon from was totally black, but both widows get darker with age. So it can be both.. Latrodectus cf trededimguttatus/ cf dahli “marokko” This is one of the female slings if got..

I tried to mate a sub female hasselti, the male did not even look at the female. He just sat in a corner of the web.. If the female is adult, the male starts to wander around the encloser right away...

They have done test to see how long a widow can do without food. I cant find the link, but i belive it was over 400 days that a female widow has lived without food.. Those few days is no problem at all..

I think you have all the answers you need. Tip for feeding the fruit flies. I use a little bucket, of witch i put a little bit of olive oil at the edge from the inside. The flies cant walk over the oil, so you can easy catch them without they go everywhere..
