@MikeofBorg Thanks for the tips! I didn't see any particular injury on its abdomen. I just saw it limping a bit but she was able to crawl under dirt.
@kylepeach Sorry I don't have any pictures to show as she is under the ground atm.
It fell just now. It jumped out of its enclosure - attacked my tongs - when i tried to feed it. The enclosure is on the edge of the table and the table is about 2.5 ft high. It fell to the floor of my room.
I'm worried! He/she is my first tarantula and I hope it's ok. How do I know if she's gonna go away soon? After I put her back in her enclosure, she just dug a burrow and now she's under cocofiber. She is definitely very stressed after that fall. It fell from a height of around 2.5 ft. She's...
I forgot to post it last night but it was doing this. It grew from being half an inch to around 2.5 inches! I'm very excited for it to grow bigger and maybe I could determine the sex once it grows a bit bigger than this...
I wasn't planning on doing it on my own. I was planning to get it cut like you said but im worried about the cost. I'll look into getting 4mm thick. Thanks!
Hi! I'm looking at building my own enclosures for my Ts and maybe just an indoor vivarium. I've looked at acrylic sheets for me to cut but it seems for a 36" x 72" acrylic sheet is looking to be around $150 CAD. Is getting cut glass easier and cheaper to get? If anyone in Canada that has the...
Thank you for the great responses guys! Since I'm new, I feel like somewhere, somehow, I'm doing something wrong. I'll be posting an update once something happened.
How did you uncover the entrance? It dug in pretty deep. And the entrance covered is pretty thick too. If i uncover it, the whole burrow would collapse i think.
Im currently away. I will be posting it om Sunday. I keep it a little damp but it just condenses on the pit/ burrow it made but the substrate is fairly dry.
The side of the enclosure has moisture water droplets from condensation. I've had my T at room temperature of around 22-24°C so it should've been fine I think. Meanwhile my sling B. albopilosum and G. pulchripes have been doing well. Im only worried about my klaasi.
My B. klaasi sling (around 1/2 - 3/4") burrowed itself about a month and a half ago. It covered it's burrow with substrate. As I still see the burrow since it burrowed at the side of the enclosure so I thought it was ok. Just a week before, I saw that it had molted but it still looks like it...
