I've also tried the water thing, but no such luck. I think I'm gonna go out early tomorrow morning and have another go at it. I haven't tried fishing line though. And my friend goes to flagstaff like everyweek so maybe I'll have to tag along one of these days....

    Tarantula Territory: The hunt begins!

Alright so I've been out on a couple hunts, we set a couple really simple "traps" (just containers set in the ground really) and we've had some good results, but no spiders of any sort have been seen as of yet. We caught two different species of beetle and some sort of small lizard. There's a...

    Tarantula Territory: The hunt begins!

Hey guys I haven't been on in months, but I just recently moved to AZ and am wondering where the best areas are to look for some T's. I'm not going to keep them, I just think it'd be neat to see them in the "wild" and take some natural habitat type photographs. If you know any good places please...

    Uhhh what it is this...?

It had full length wings, I'm positive it was a male. But the pictures you provided do look pretty similar... so maybe it was from a female fed long ago.... It really freaked me out when I saw it, but now I feel silly, lol. Thanks though :)

    Uhhh what it is this...?

Yeah, and I have a way higher male to female ratio then neccesary. So very rarely do I feed females which is why I don't think it's the "eggsac" although it could be, but it doesn't seem very likely to me. Anything else it could be?

    Uhhh what it is this...?

I fed her a male cockroach, full grown with wings and everything. Unless it's been in there for a very very long time then it could be... But I do not know...

    Uhhh what it is this...?

...And how did it get there? I found this in my rosies cage last night, and whatever it is, it was dead when I found it. It scared the hell out of me cause I fed her a roach and then I just saw this thing in there... Is it a parasite? What is it? I'm sorry the pics are so bad, I took them...

I Saw My 1st Assassin Bug Today

Yeah it's definitely cool when you realize that there's so much so close to you if you just open your eyes a little bit. Almost the same thing happened to me at school today, I felt something hit me in the back of the head and it was this huge reddish brown beetle. I tried to catch it but it...

    praying mantis ooth

Hey, I had the same question actually, and I clicked on that link but it said there was an error. Could you possibly paste the information here? That would be greatly appreciated :D

    Darn roaches.

My roach colony finally starting getting to a good size, and my male to female ratio is ridiculous. For every female I have like 3 males. I know I can feed off the males to kind of even it out, but I was wondering if there was anything I can do besides that. Like with some animals and things I...
