Thanks, guys. I guess I can only hope it wasn't my fault somehow and it was just a freak occurrence. Nonetheless, this was a really upsetting experience. :(
And today, I had another death in my collection but I anticipated it since my first T. albopilosus matured 2 1/4 years ago and he was...
Hi guys, long time no see... sorry.
I just made an awful discovery. Mrs Blue Berry, my C. versicolor, died. I found her half-hanging from her web, no death curl, I probably wouldn't have realised it if it wasn't for the slightly unusual pose.
When I took her out I saw that she had most...
My first tadpoles (YAY!) are developing nicely. I hope the first ones will hatch on the weekend (pictures are 2 days old, I already added a bit more water ;))
D. tinctorius BYH
One's looking a bit weird but it's still moving like the others, we'll see. ;)
D. tinctorius azureus
These are...
My GBB moulted today, first moult this year in the spider room!!! :embarrassed:
And this is how I found her... and her new "roommate".
I have no idea how she did that...
My female T. albo (Nicaragua) grew from a 2nd instar sling to a 3-3,5" juvenile in almost exactly one year. ;)

After that, she basically stopped growing... Since then, it's about one moult/year.
I usually wait a week before trying again. But it depends on the T in question and whether it has just moulted or might be in premoult, or whether it's an adult or a sling.
Yesterday I got some new additions ... the frogs I wanted to have from the very beginning.
The viv had grown in nicely...
and when I was offered a pair of D. tinctorius azureus that is not related to each other I knew I had to take the plunge. :D
This is Tristan and his wife Isolde. ♥ ;)...
No misting!!! You could drop some water on its webbing or on the glass every now and then but my C. versicolor has no problems finding her water dish (to discard her boluses  ).
And if you haven't done already I would recommend replacing the mesh with an acrylic sheet with loads of...
This!
And also make sure his environment is safe, meaning, the less space between the substrate and the top of the enclosure the better. I give my mature males 1x DLS (diagonal leg span) of vertical space or less.
Edit:
Sorry. I must've overlooked the second set of pictures... that breeder box...
Just cup her and take her out when you're doing the adjustments. It'd be more stressful for her if you're doing it while she's in there. And don't worry about stressing her out... a proper and safe enclosure is way more important. :)
