So I just got an Emperor Scorpion a little over a week ago. When I was looking to buy it the owner picked it up like nothing and let it sit on her hand and it didn't flinch at being touched etc.
But ever since I got it home it's very defensive. Is this something common? Is it the new...
I actually keep most of my pets in my walk-in closet, as the boas heat keeps the closet around 80 degrees, so I have Boas, T's, Roaches haha...
Doesn't smell too bad but I only have 16 T's, most are slings, 2 small roach colonies and some pinhead crix, rats are kept in the freezer {D
Only...
My P. Pulcher likes to place them on the right hand side next to the water dish, but my A. Metallica just drops it below itself, I love how unique they are.
I also have a boa that likes to crap in it's water bowl, you could have to deal with that {D
Not to hi-jack your thread, but my A. Metallica is having the same problem, molted about 2 weeks ago, and now won't eat, it seems gun shy.
It will go to the roach curl it up, and then just releases it, I've seen it do it at least a dozen times, now I'm getting worried :(
Ah well that's what I get for copying the name off of a For Sale thread lol...
Are they more skittish or more hair kicker-ish than a Boehmei?
Thanks for the replies!
Hi,
I was wondering what Brachypelma Klassi are like, the only Brachy I've owned was a Boehmei and it was constantly kicking hairs, not something I prefer...
Also any care/advice would be appreciated :D
Thanks!
Interesting, didn't know they were illegal in Cali...
I had a ferret years ago, named Paco, he was hilarious, but they tend to smell even when descented, so had to bathe him weekly...
My A. Metallica molted Wednesday night sometime and Thursday morning I saw it squatting in it's water dish as well, I just figured it was re-hydrating...
But I haven't seen to many T's molt, let alone catch them molting as I have a very small collection that only recently got larger.
I have a Panama Blond, it has dual personalities, retreat and threat pose, both are lightning fast :wicked:
It has webbed up 75% of it KK, but fortunately it doesn't web on the plexi so you can see it in it's tunnels and under it's log like it is currently and has been for over a week now...
