Male. Formerly "Cryptic" now "Herb" by vote in the household. He's not quite jet black, has a shiny deep brown carapace.- kstrl

@efmp1987 ah yeah I see what you mean. A little confounded on what he may be, under the impression G.pulchra are jet black at this size. Also told this T was slightly over an inch this May, so he did some crazy growing to be this large now- kstrl

"Cryptic" my male tarantula picked up from a LPS. Sold as a G.pulchra though I speculate him to be a G.sp "formosa" Very docile, always out and never thrown a threat pose, capable of bolting rather quickly when motivated.- kstrl
