quit misting just keep a water bottle cap filled with water leave a meal worm(with head cut off) in its cage over night and remove the next morning. that kills your stress of it eating or not since the food is there if it wants to eat.

next time use all the way dead prekilled meal worms(heads cut off) then zero worries if the worms can harm your t etc. just leave the dead worm at its burrow entrance remove next day if uneaten. also gives you an idea if its premolt or just not hungry. do more research/reading/learning about...

my genic spooked me good a few times usually on its first feeding after a molt and gaining a bunch of size :rofl:its crazy watching a big heavy t running up the tongs to your fingers. my fault each time for misjudging just how far it could lunge doesnt help with a genic all that moves is food

just means you tried dropping the feeder to close the t when feeding it. kinda doubt it jumped off the side of its cage probably it slipped or just fell off the side

i use mainly coco fiber with repti soil mixed or topsoil some people say coco fiber molds or doesnt hold burrows good etc i've never had issues with it

just allow the dirt to dry out while keeping its water dish full you will notice as things dry out both mites and spring tails will pile into the water dish then all you do is keep dumping it out and replace with fresh water

dirt filled up so there isnt more than 1.5 dls fall from the top. a hide with an aquarium plant planted by the hide and water dish on other side of its cage. never heard of them being picky about the dirt in its cage it just needs to be packed down not loose either way everything and anything...

take all that junk out of its cage leave it one hide and add a water dish to its cage then leave it to settle. then i would make sure (by beat down your choice)that person never put hands on your property ever again

the thread is 3 years old keep in mind that every "rescue"done by you or another well meaning person. just means that many more ts,scorps etc will just be restocked since the store made a profit off the sale.

dirt looks dry enough i dont see condesation on the glass why do you think its to humid? all you really should be doing is make sure its got a clean dish full of water each day flooding it over now and then. your tank is also not ideal needs a whole lot more dirt added to it until its a lil...

dont chase humidity numbers etc.just give it a wide water dish flooded over now and then. that glass cage will be easy to see if your making the dirt to wet
