Found under a rock on a dirt patch, half a mile from a creek, on a mountain. It kind of resembles more of a beetle or something. Never seen anything like it before.
@JavaJacketOC Its just so dark... MM chalcodes have a blond carapace right?
Also - Can I try to pair him with my female? Or would that be a bad idea if they are NOT the same sp? What's the worst that could happen, she try to attack him?
Try to remove it GENTLY with tweezers before it hardens, making it more difficult to remove.
I haven't encountered this issue, but reading on past threads, that was the basic info
These should be removable but it might be tough if you’ve had it on there for a while. If you move it and it loses stickiness, I’m sure you can buy some 3M double sided stickies.
I usually use warm soapy water and a razor (or plastic scraper) to get adhesive off
Each T is always different, but I'm pretty sure it's not a normal occurence.
Here's some decent info on molting: http://atshq.org/articles/found.html (bottom of page)
Hope this helps.
She could have been interrupted somehow during molting, like a loud noise or moving the enclosure.
Check back in an hour or two and see if she flips back over.
I had this issue once, and she came out fine after molting :joyful:
7-1/2" x 11" x 4-1/4" h
