My little ADD spider

Mine just molted and she/he did not want to give it up. Kept attacking the tongs so I left the molt in there.

All 3 of my H pulchripes are always out. I think 2 of them don't even have a burrow.

They will go longer then 3 weeks on there own sometimes. I had 2 slings burrow down for 6 months before I saw them again.

Mines kept on dry, but I over flow the water dish every week.

Its not that expensive. I know how to set up drainage layers and everything. I used JF ABG mix when I had dart frogs. Dart frogs just arent for me. After 6 months of making fruit fly colonies every week I was over it. I just wanted make sure it was fine for tarantulas too.

I had a tough time with the H. incie too. I had a few of them and they all grew well and then 1 by 1 all passed away. I think it was all on the 3rd molt. They where freebies, but still sucked. My GBB just matured out.

I have a T. Stermi that I want to move in to bioactive vivarium. I know the ABG is excellent for dart frogs and great for growing plants. Thats what I want to do. Grow some plants. Do you think it will be ok for my stermi? I know there is some charcoal in it and other ingredients. Anyone use...

Lots of air holes on the sides for cross ventilation. More the better. I tried to make a spider on both side with all my air holes. I'm not an artist so it looks terrible, but my versicolor doesn't care.

I'm not familiar with B. lateralis, but if they are anything like dubai roaches. Find the smallest ones you can and crush there heads before feeding them to the tarantula. Tarantulas will find them and do there thing from there. Hopefully more people will chime in that are more familiar with B...

It happens. My male GBB passed on tarantula appreciation day. That was kind of a bummer.

Its going to molt. No worries. I had 2 B. emilia slings disappear for 6 months, and with in a week they both came out.

Hold on to the large enclosure. You will need it in about 5 years, but get that little booger in something a lot smaller. It will be a lot easier to care for and observe in a smaller container.

I live in S. Georgia. EVERYONE here is afraid of spiders and thinks something is wrong with. There biggest fear is a hurricane coming and leveling my house and having a tarantula epidemic in GA. But thanks for the info. I guess I'll hang out in questions and answers for awhile.
