@Noah Blades Thats awesome! they're lovely. That would be a cool thought, however, they would have had to take a long journey as I'm in the UK! Hope they're all dong well!
Thanks! I'm sure she will be great for years to come. Yeah, I don't intend on keeping her in the sling pot for overly long, probably a couple of moults.
Hmm that is a good shout! Might have to go fishing for an old copy of monopoly in my loft!
Interesting I actually have a friend who's a tattoo artist so I might ask him to see if he has any he could give me, cheers! Ahh yes! sounds exactly like my P. muticus sling they excavate like small moles.... Thanks!
Just finalised her setup (other than the mesh), thanks for the input! The piece of bark is amazing just found it today at the show for stupid cheap and it is perfect for the enclosure.
They do seem it! I bet she is awesome! can't wait for mine to hopefully make a trapdoor. Yeah, I don't have...
It's actually pretty deceiving, it's only about 1.5cm from the top. That is just the sling pot I got it in anyways and have since rehoused it into another sling pot where the sub is about 0.5 - 1cm from the top. I like to change the sub on T's when I first get them to some of mine.
They really are, I was after a true trapdoor spider but they are pretty difficult to get a hold of. Then thought a mira given the opportunity is the best of both worlds anyway. The colours of them are also fantastic.
So I went to IHS today and it was insanely busy! Probably the busiest I've ever seen it. There were so many amazing arachnid stalls, which, to me seemed to be the busiest stalls there! Anyhow I picked up an Idiothele mira sling, which is something I've been after for quite awhile.
Also I...
You could try putting some food for it in the enclosure and see if it comes to the surface for it. Try some carrot or apple, hopefully it will draw it out!
Thank you. The rep is a bit on the bad side, the only time mine is even slightly shady is during a rehouse, otherwise she is super chill. As a sling I never got a single threat posture up until just over 2 inches.
I would be delighted to see your findings on completion!
So I decided to rehouse my OBT into her forever enclosure since she outgrew her last one. Just some advice for people looking at buying an OBT (or any old world to be honest) I'd recommend housing them in a slightly larger enclosure than a less pissy spider as they can become very agitated...
So today I got 2 slings I have been after for quite awhile, a Pelinobius muticus and a Nhandu chromatus. They're little midget gems. Haven't owned either of these before so am looking forward to watching them grow up, and in the case of the P.muticus that will be awhile . Anyway I'm...
I'm hoping not. It really is, like i say she generally eats a week or two after a moult, as you'd expect. Like I say she is a very fussy tarantula to feed at the best of times but this is taking the mick.
