I appreciate all of the help, but when I woke up this morning the poor thing had died, maybe from stress? (Do spiders even feel stress?) I feel terrible and a sense of relief at the same time, I'll definitely never order a mystery box again, and I've learnt my own limit when it comes to tarantulas.

I don't know, I had him in the same container that I have my other spiders in. The last time I opened the lid was when I re-housed him about five days ago, he probably escaped that same night too. I guess he was able to squeeze through the ventalation holes.

So, as the title suggests, I have a pretty significant problem with my sphodromantis viridis. He has gotten into a really bad habit of chewing on his limbs, I have no idea why. He's disabled from his last molt where he tried to molt too close to the ground and didn't make it out of the molt...

@miss moxie Unfortunately I tried that and my camera just will not focus unless I have flash on. But I can say that the little flap is actually on the molt it's not just a shadow.

Of course! But for now I think I'll be fine, it's just the re-housing that's gonna cause me some headache, but I think I'll manage If I do get to the point where I feel I can't take care of them anymore though, I promise you'll see a post about it here on this site
