My first interaction with my first tarantula...I was 7 or 8 years old and absolutely tarantula crazy. My dad found a huge female (we had no clue on the sex of course) B. smithi in a pet store for $20 (yes they were that cheap back in the day), back in those days( 1978'ish) its a pretty sure bet...
Oh I will for sure, I will start looking around for a sexed female...may be a bit yet before i get one, depends on what I can find for how much. Thanks for making up my mind for me Leila, you must have hypnotized me into it with those vampiric eyes of yours. :wacky:
I'm thinking either a nice big female P. regalis, or a female versicolor. Would also make a nice home for a female H. maculata...decisions decisions....
Well, I got mine but it wont work with my phone, (Galaxy S7). Phone is compatible but when i plug it in it just wont work, may try uninstalling/re-installing the app. The scope works on my laptop but im having issues being smart enough how to save images to share. I never claimed to be tech...
Well the collection I'm speaking of was my old collection and I no longer have it, I just recently got back into the hobby with an order of 10 B. smithi/hamorii slings. Picked up a small G. roses last weekend also just for kicks. And no, you can't have my spiders...
Yep, tried crushing the heads, even partially crushing the roach itself...not one single T in my collection would touch them. I even had one of the most aggressive P. murinus I have ever seen that would run from the roaches like it's life depended on it. I always wondered if maybe there was...
Just got a notification that mine was delivered today, will definitely play around with it tonight when I get home. Maybe get some up close pics of some baby B. smithi's and post them up.
This is why I stopped trying to use Dubai as feeders when I had my previous collection. I had a 36 tarantulas and over a 2 month period after buying a started Dubai colony, not one single T would touch them. Out of frustration I went back to crix and everyone started pigging out happily again.
