I use a bottle cap w a small rock/pebble to prevent my scorps from drowning. It never hurts to have some sort of hydration. Plus ive seen the crickets and roaches drink from it
Welp I'm glad to report that my Hottentota and A. Australis are getting along well with each other. The scorps leave the BDFB alone and just brush them aside with their tails when they are near each other. It's pretty neat watching them interact. No issues whatsoever
Hi all,
I have 2 scorps, a Hottentota Hottentota and an Androctonus Australis. I'm thinking of picking up a few of these guys as a clean-up crew in the tank. Would they get along well with these scorps, without them trying to kill each other? I know BDFB are usually housed and get along...
So much to learn lol.. ok thats great info. I'll remove the water cap and will just mist the glass on the non heated side. Besides, scorps get water from the prey they eat from what I've read
I currently have a heating pad on one side of the tank. Do I spray on the other side that doesn't have heat? If so, do I spray on the glass or the sand itself? Sry for so many questions. I'm not very familiar and am slowly learning about desert scorps
What subsrate would u recommend? I got tHe sand from a petstore and i also read Coco husk/fiber is also recommended but I couldn't find any. I have Creature soil from ZooMed but I don't spray it or anything as humidity can kill desert scorps.
Hello everybody, I just got this guy a wk and a half ago. I just know it's a Hotentotta but not exactly sure which species/genus it is. Can anybody help me ID it?? Much thx!
