I never get a good angle to shoot my young S. Rambala due to habitat placement too near too many light sources (windows, etc.), but today I got at least a few decidedly "ok" shots of them, I'll take what I can get 😊 They are all legs, so that's their new name...for now 😂
By the way, this is the...
I see them in lots of places like etsy, ebay and their own website as well. They're based in Connecticut and seem to have a pretty wide selection of enclosures. Thoughts?
Yep, at this point I'm convinced it happened when she was molting, probably had some 💩in the corner where she did it and some got stuck on her. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, so it wont bother me either, lol.
Good point, that's usually what I do, just leave em be. Gonna stick to my guns on this and see if it falls off on it's own down the road, if not then there's always the next molt :)
Actually thats just her hairs there...I'm so not sure, but the way she molted was a bit messy (she kind of did it in the corner of her enclosure on top of her hide...shes such an oddball, lol) so maybe all it is just something that got stuck there. Maybe I'll try the large sponge method to see if...
Sadly thats as close as I can get (shes not very big yet). As it doesn't seem to be bothering her (shes going about her day as normal, climbing, moving all over the enclosure, etc) I'm just gonna see if anything happens down the road. Thanks.
My B. Hamorii molted about 2 weeks ago and I had to go on a business trip right afterwards also for 2 weeks. I got back and saw this white bulge almost dead center of the carapace and it looks pretty bad. I have no idea what it is, I've not seen that on any of my other spoods in all the years...
Lucky me got to see yet another molt by my new additions, both in under 5 days! This is my T. Albopilosus Floofy during the molt and a glorious after shot, she really is a stunner ❤️

My first (as her new owner) successful shed of my B. Hamorii Lady Luna!
Hilariously my nephew was visiting when she did it and he snapped this pic of her after saying "Uncle Mike!! Uncle Mike!! Your spider has sooooo many legs!!" (he's 7 years old 😂). My sister, of course, almost got sick...
My friend actually did that with one of his to a local small park at night. There are tons of cops where I live and he took a huge chance doing it....not my cup of tea so to speak.
I used to, but sadly not anymore. In the middle of a concrete jungle it's not an easy task to do unfortunately. So it's like the goldfish we all had as a child (flush!!), it's an uneasy end for our dear friends that is all that's left to us.
2.5-3", but all legs. No doubt gonna get BIG, like 8" big. I got it in as a freebie from a muli spood order, and was shocked at the size of it out of the gate. I hope it survives the shock it put itself through and grows up nice and strong 😊
