I love it! Super cool use of the rocks, crystals, succulents decor. Where are you getting the beetles from?

Review by 'Brumbleberry' on item 'Inland Sea Exotics'

3 slings arrived in nice packaging: 1" B. albopilosum 1" L. parahybana 3/4" A. avicularia All of them arrived in good shape through the 3-day shipping option. The B. albo was the biggest of the bunch, followed by the A. avic. They're all in good shape and eating pinheads. Seller was so quick to...

    Does it ever stop???

I'm up to 4 T slings now. 3 terrestrials and 1 arboreal. Honestly the arboreal scares me. I never know what she's going to do or the best way to open her cage to get food in. So I'm not going to jump on more arboreals unless I really figure this one out and enjoy it. The 2 brachys that I have so...

    Feeling sorry for live food.

I don't particularly feel that awful about the roaches. They live a good life with their huge extended family in the colony box and feast as much as they can stuff themselves with.

Feeding...how much? how often? Expert feedback, please!!!!

I feel you on the fast growth of feeders. My brother and I have two small slings, our first T's. I bought a group of pinheads and they already seem to have grown in just a week.

    Mystery Snail siphon appendage.

Yeap, bettas can breathe air. But I think it's rad that this snail has both lung and gill organs separate from each other. I'm no expert, but here's some info from more expert sources: http://applesnail.net/content/anatomy/respiration.php Yeah! Betta (and a few other kinds of fish) have this...

    Mystery Snail siphon appendage.

Did you know that mystery snails (Pomacea diffusa) can breathe air and they have gills for underwater respiration? It's kinda wild to see them use their freakishly long siphon appendage as they gulp air at the surface. I shot a short video of the weird siphoning air behavior here. I've got a...

Stoked Beginings From 1 Beginner To The Next

Thank you Lokee85! I appreciate it very much. I waited 3 days after it arrived and sent a pinhead roach in the enclosure, and I haven't seen it again, so maybe it's been eaten! Thanks again for the note to calm my nerves.

Stoked Beginings From 1 Beginner To The Next

Hi! I'm a brand new T owner as well getting nerves about everything. I have a 1/2 inch b. vagans who arrived looking great, she sat for a few pictures and I set her on a dark shelf for some quiet time. Now 2 days later I can't tell where she is buried and worry she'll never come out. Is this normal?

    Introduce Yourself

Hello! I've just ordered my first tarantula online after lots of online reading and video watching. Two of them actually. One for myself and one for my brother who was the first to mention his interest in keeping them. My usual hobby I'd freshwater planted aquariums. I really wanted to get an...
