I couldnt have said it better myself. Thats why I provided my experience in the first place. I figured it maybe useful information and it was interesting.
I have no idea where youre going with this. I dont use lamps or matts. I believe your info on the temps being fatal is far from reality. But youre welcome to your opinion.
A good question, I have cats and the rest of the house is unsafe for her to stay. I could lower the t rooms temp but i just dont believe it to be necessary especially since shes doing so well. And it looks like my estimate of how long ive kept her was conservative. Ive had her since early...
That seems like a more valid point. But people seem to lose them keeping them cooler too. Thank you for the link. Im familiar with mikesbasictarantulas and love his website. But going back to what i said earlier i dont think temps are the culprit for them dying. Much like the T Blondi i think...
I've kept a sub adult female for about three months now. I keep her in a well ventilated enclosure with moist substrate in my t room that stays at a constant 80 degrees. She ate like a pig and molted a week ago just fine. I know the keeper who raised her very well, he kept her in the 70-75...
I have both and love them, if getting one of each isn't an option, I would give a slight nod to Rufilata. I just find coloring on the Rufilata particularly beautiful. Each of mine make great display spiders so I don't think there is much of a difference in one being more shy than the other...
That makes sense. I have heard that lowland carapace is more gold but without a highland to compare it to I wasnt sure. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.
Yes, Ive heard that and that also seems quite reasonable to me. Also Ive heard lowland tend be larger because of the warmer climate as well. Its just tough for me to tell if its darker when I only have other poctures to go by. So you beleive it to be lowland as well?
Ya I have watched that video, and I do agree with your opinion of his keeping. But I've found lots of information that differs with the information in his video. Also I can't really spot one thing on my girl that would classify her as lowland or highland using the information in his video.
