Eh, I realize my post was dumb. Haha There really is no possibility that it isn't another brachypelma species or a hybrid. I had barely done the research on baumgarteni and was irritated that he was charged so much. I love the sling anyway and I'm sure it will be beautiful.

Thank you for answering my question. :) I figured it would be too early to tell. I mostly wanted to know because I think my boyfriend was overcharged for it. I vaguely remember seeing an $80 price tag on it when we went to the shop. It's most likely a boehmei hybrid and I'm okay with that...

It's It's a little over an inch (picture taken with measuring tape in first post).

This sling was sold as B. baumgarteni, but it seems like that species is incredibly rare and it's most likely a boehmei or a hybrid. I thought it was a B. klassi when I first saw it. Is it still too small to identify?

How likely is it that I'll find G. pulchra slings at this expo? Is there usually a decent selection of tarantulas to make the show worth it?

I was more thinking it would be less disruptive to drop something from the top than to lift the enclosure from the base every time I feed the sling. It only took a few minutes to add. :) I'm an excited newbie trying to err on the side of caution. I appreciate your advice.
