    Before I enter the web

Assuming those aren't boulders and they're aquarium gravel looks to be about a 3/4" sling. That also looks like some type of moss which would also support that measurement. One other thing, what is that white blobby-cotton bally looking thing its partially on??

    feeding slings ants?

Plus you never know what the ant ate. Prime example is Tomato Worms. Bred in captivity and fed a certain food they are great for T's and lizards but something about them eating tomato plants makes them toxic. Alternatives would be to breed your own crickets which is stinky or breed roaches...

    Tarantula abbreviations....

Poecilotheria.... like P. striata, P. regalis, P. metallica  , P. ornata... just another family. If you ever get too confused google it. I'm sure if you put in B. smithi it would pop up a dozen or more pages about brachypelma smithi or Mexican Red Knee. :)

    "Red Concepcion" Grammostoma sp.

Nope, he knows better. He describes her as a C. crawshayi in a G. rosea clothing LOL. I'm not getting my hopes up too much but if all goes well I'd be happy :) I'm sure my daughter will "adopt" as many as she can but I'm limiting her!! 6 years old and has a decent collection going already...

    "Red Concepcion" Grammostoma sp.

Yep, we're totally trying. So far my little stud has been with 8 females, 3 of mine and 5 50/50 loans to a couple friends. IF (fingers crossed) he did his job I'll be swimming in babies. As far as temperment my buddy has one that's been in captivity for 7 years and she thinks she's a...

Oh thats easy!! NO - rocks are bad!! I use peat mixed with vermiculite, others use either cocofiber or straight peat. Long story short something soft.

    "Red Concepcion" Grammostoma sp.

The dozen or so I have personally and for sale also, by what Eric brought up, are sp. Concepcion (enlarged scopulae on the metatarsus). As far as when they first appeared I know of one specifically that has been in captivity for 7 years. Years ago when we ordered G. rosea the wholesale people...

    "Red Concepcion" Grammostoma sp.

I haven't dealt with Todd but as far as what he has said about the Red Conception here's a quick link to check out. http://www.chilearacnidos.com/ From all I've read about them here and various other sites it seems like they are yet another Grammastola sp that some clump together as G...

    "Red Concepcion" Grammostoma sp.

Looks like what I sell as RCF G. rosea - mine is a fresher molt than the one he has pictured but before she molted looked exactly like that. I wouldn't say new since a buddy of mine has had them for 3 years or so but definately less common. Only problems I've had is if they're real hungry they...

    Crappy pet store name

In answer to your ?? HMS yes... I get wholesale lists from a dozen different companies and they list the H. longipes as either "Vietnamese Bird Eater" or "Asian Tiger Striped Bird Eater". No matter what they call it that week it's still a H. longipes.

    Help!!! Bugs in cage!!!

Personally I change everything just in case. I've heard too many people say that scuttle flies can carry nematodes so just to be safe I change it all. I figure its a buck or so in substrate compared to the cost of losing my T...
