Budget wise there's not really a limit, Id just heard the Exos are not the best for keeping Ts? The Jaimes have the same sort of setup lock wise, just worried about them being broken off. Our old house this was never a concern given I had them locking and in their own locked room with a brush...
Hey all,
So I downsized my collection awhile back to just our G. Pulchra and a P. Muticus. The Muticus passed earlier this year and recently I have been considering getting back into the scene like I used to be with a full fledged collection. My situation though is this. Our 5 year old has...
I will definitely second this. I was a bad owner for a bit with our G. Pulchra & P. Muticus and let it get almost desert dry but still provided drinking water. Successful molt with both during that time with no complications. I will say though we live in the Carolinas which makes ambient...
So, Just came back after a very long absence and had to share this. Wife was laughing at me failing the captcha after I forgot my password, but technically Im right :D lol...
So I ran into this when looking at an H. Gigas thread and instead of reviving a dead thread I figured id ask here.
Is this true? Ive always assumed Pokies to be solo but a large display with some adults would be really neat. Edit: I usually always keep my Ts solo, but an M. Balfouri I got a...
Got 2, Havent seen either since they dug in aside from one who made a bit of a window. Only time I get close to seeing them "out" is when I drop in food and they grab it and go back down. If you want a digger the C. Darlingi is another good choice, I had my 3" female on 10" of compacted dirt and...
So I know that no one has ever died from a T bite, but I am interested in if hospitalization would be required?
Back Info: I have recently switched jobs and have to wait 90 days for insurance so hospitalization/ER isnt an option. That said I have a P. Regalis that is getting way too big for her...
So I'm going to start off by saying I'm surprised how far I've come and was wondering if any have done the same. I used to be TERRIFIED of spiders and now I'm borderline obsessed with just about any sort of invert but especially arachnids. That said the other day I ran into a little jumping...
Thanks for the support everyone, they've settled in well and as I suspected the last one was a P. Muticus. It's been a little bittersweet considering at the same time I was setting them up we discovered the 'old man', an A Seemani, finally crossed the rainbow bridge at the ripe old age of 8...
So I am going to post pictures later, but for now just the story.
I recently posted a few of my Ts up on craigslist to downsize and trim out ones that I had multiples of to make more room for new species, after screening various people I managed to find a home for a couple, and decided to pull...
So my P. Irminia flipped over two days ago, she's responsive to blowing in the enclosure but I've not touched her and were going on day 2 since she flipped. Noticed this on her and was wondering if it's cause for alarm and can anything be done given I've not had one do this so far.
For a smaller one if you have a hobby lobby near by the soccerball display cases make a good one, just put hinges and drill holes if you got a dremmel. :)
I just use Scotts Topsoil, and overfill the water. Ive raised mine that way from a sling to about 6" thus far without a problem. Hair wise Ive not had much of an issue and I just close the lid when it starts to kick.
@Moakmeister Speaking from the point of owning OWs as well as a T Stirmi if you have T experience you should be fine. My T Stirmi is one my 'low risk' tracker as far as care/attitude goes and overall its just an anti social NW with a tendency to flick lol.
So...gotta say I'm proud as hell and felt like sharing. Started small a month ago and worked our way up. Today he's obsessed when before he wouldn't be in the same room with a caged one.
