    Maturing Ts question

Sorry I was unclear - I meant on the inside of the molt, not on the spider. Will the presence/absence of spermathecae be more obvious as the spider gets older (looking at molts), or should it already be obvious in a 2” molt? Thank you!

    Maturing Ts question

When you say “not fully formed,” do you mean the flap is less pronounced? I have a g. Pulchripes sling that just molted to about 2”, and I think I see a teeny tiny beginning of a flap/pouch but maybe I am imagining it because I want it to be female so much

    Posture / Body language

My curly hair has been squished up like this for a couple weeks now, hasn't eaten in three weeks either. She has plenty of water and it's about 80 degrees in here. I think something is wrong but I don't know what... any advice is welcome!

Ignored the last cricket I put in there, but ate two weeks ago. I haven't changed the lighting or moved the enclosure, but those are good things to bring up for sure. She has fresh water, I will wait a while. Thank you!

    Premolt Grammostola Pulchripes sling?

I also have a chaco sling and it has been sealed in its hideout for two weeks. How can I tell when it has molted and I can try to feed if it won't come out again? I can see it moving sometimes so I know it's doing okay in there, just won't come out. I don't think it could reach the water dish if...

    Introduce Yourself

Greetings all! My name is Julia and I live in Ohio. I took care of the tarantulas in my high school science lab but have never had any of my own until about a month ago, when I got a G. pulchripes sling. I wanted to start with a really small T to make sure it wouldn't freak out my boyfriend and...
