    Yeah, the side of the enclosure is better. Put a piece of bark close to it so it can climb close to the heat if it wants. Although since B.Jacks aren't diggers.. you could put it on the bottom. They'll move away if it's too hot. Not dig deeper like burrowers to escape the heat.

    They can make you sick. The fact that you will not be killed doesn't mean you shouldn't worry about it. A lot of people just see "Won't kill you" and think you shouldn't respect it.

    dent?

    My first scorpion had a dent in a pedipalp and it lived fine. How long have you had it? If you've had it for a while and it's been okay then you shouldn't worry. Just consider it a battle scar. But if it just happened it could impact some of the structures that excrete feces.

    I don't like all the stuff that grows because of the lack of ventilation with a covered top. Just use the false bottom with constant water.

    I've kept various Centruroides species together. Never any problems. Just make sure they have similar care requirements.
