    Well I was way off about this one being calm. It seemed to be that first morni g. It's actually pretty defensive. She's let me know twice she will bite me.

    That would also explain the extremely calm temperament. And large size. It's about 5.5" now.

    I was looking on the American Tarantula Society page. They have a picture that is identical. Sericopelma rubronitens. Said these have been showing up in pets shops in the southeast the last few years. Hmmm. Never heard of it.

    @atraxrobustus yeah that's why I put it up. There is a ton of confusion. I do know it's different than any I have had. The gray is bold compared to others I have had. And under good light I just noticed the carapace is more of a shade of gray than black. Thanks lot though.

    @KezyGLA most likely hybrid. The front legs are half gray. The rear legs are a black. All gray around the carapace.
