    Happy hobby times!

Aside from getting some new additions, I've been having many good times in this hobby. The first being interest. My friends and family are warming up to my Ts. They ask questions and last time my mom saw me feed my A geni she witnessed the "happy dance" and was ectastic. I've also made a friend...

    My sling is a jerk.

Usually I let it be a little bulldozer and it's quite entertaining to watch but I was planning to change it's hide soon anyways. I figured then was a better time than ever:DThe filling of the water dish stopped being funny after like the 5th time though:cool:

    My sling is a jerk.

It's not harder to move, it's just however it decides to move it, it can still utilize it. It couldn't do that with it's hide:angelic:

Coffee grounds for substrate? Does caffeine affect T's?

That stuff is addicting! Could you imagine if it didn't get it's morning dose? That's not an enclosure I'd like to open!

Coffee grounds for substrate? Does caffeine affect T's?

I'd be worried that it would take it and put some of it in it's water dish (as Ts often do with substrate) and then have coffee in it's dish instead of water:rolleyes: I doubt that would be healthy for a T to drink.

    My sling is a jerk.

While doing my morning check of my animals before work, I noticed my genic sling had once again pushed it's hide against the wall so that it couldn't get inside. I, being the loving arachnid mom I am, moved it back so it had a place to hide. I also filled it's water dish. I come home from...

What's your preferred method in making your Ts like you?

Again, apologies. I tend to stick to species that won't make me paranoid of an escape with a 2 year old in the house;)

What's your preferred method in making your Ts like you?

Saw this on Craigslist today and I felt bad for the girl. I know how the initial process of taming your tarantulas can be rough:banghead:Just curious, how do you guys get your Ts to like you? My favorite method is to pet them and hand feed them. It builds trust:angelic::p

I have an A geni sling and it's about the size of a penny. My other T is an adult G rosea, and she's kind of a jerk. But its cute:)

While I agree, they are also, from what I've heard, 'of feisty and hair flicky'. And considering I have a small rash from my A geni sling flicking it's little hairs, I'll stray for now:hilarious:o_O
